[style_image width=”” height=”” image=”” align=”alignright” alt=”Curso de WordPress Avanzado en Olot” url=”″ border=”yes” lightbox=”yes” fade=”yes”]Ya se ha abierto el plazo para las inscripciones del Advanced Course WordPress to be held in Olot the next 13 and 14 June.

The course is 12 hours (ie morning and afternoon of 13 and 14 June, with breaks in between). The objective is that students leave class with a corporate website 100% complete and functional. Even with the content created.

To do this course is only open to students who attend class with a WordPress installed on your domain and knowing how it works at a basic level.

No issues related to software installation will be discussed. It will be only what plugins need to convert a base installation on a corporate web, how to be a "who we are" a "what we do", a product catalog, a gallery of images, a "where we are", how to include other content on the website, how to install professional templates (students may bring their templates or buy online while attending class). We will also see how to create a multilanguage site, how to install Google Analytics codes, such as recording onto Google Webmasters, what metrics should follow, etc.

During class, he personally advise each student on the particularities of each website and it will work both individually and in groups. I'll attend to everyone and together we will advance the creation of the website each.

As I said, the goal is to get out of there with web made, so it comes to investing these 2 days out of the office and day to day, to focus on the website.

If you would like to attend but do not know how to get started with WordPress theme, there's still time. I recommend the following:

1) Buy a domain name in (If you have it, you can skip this step).

2) Hire a hosting already installed WordPress. You can do this in, Contrantando the Junior hosting (5 euros per month). If you just want to try, you can hire him for months. In the hosting control panel you will see that have preinstalled WordPress, activate it and is already (no extra charge).

3) Practice at home using wordpress, create a profile, create a page and generally plays a little so that when you start the advanced class, you know how the basic part works and can focus on converting the installation of series in a good website.

4) If you want to go a little further, look at the free templates you'll find and payment also find www.themeforest.netIf you find a template you like, download it to your computer and upload it to your wordpress.

CDmon note: I recommend this company because they are lovely on the phone and is preinstalled WordPress hosting. I have no connection with them.

The course is organized FES - Olot and it is taught in its facilities.

Rural Tourism Slides 3.0

I had the pleasure of participating in the seminar this morning Rural Tourism - Outlook 2020, Organized by the foundation Olot FES (Higher Education Foundation of Olot).

In these days is analyzed from various points of view, expectations of rural tourism with a view to 2020. In my case, exploring the rural tourism of the future, from the point of view of technology. A job easy.

For this, I have discussed briefly how you think it will be the tourism market in 2020. How will individuals be part of this market (who are now 20 years) and how will it adapt tourism products to the characteristics of this market .

In the last part of the paper, I have also tried to how Web 3.0 (on which now is working at the level of developer, but not yet at the level of end user [or at least not a general level of end user] ) we will offer new opportunities to promote the services of rural tourism and rural destinations.

The slides of my speech can be found here:

The rest of the papers have also been interesting and greatly regret having lost the takes, as I'm sure I would have been very useful ... but duty called me and I had to return to Sabadell.
