Today has been taught in Mataro one of the days dedicated to promoting tourism through the use of Internet. The sessions are organized by the Consortium of Tourism Costa del Maresme and have title: "The impact of digital technology in the tourism sector”.

I have had the pleasure of participating in the first presentation of the day and I explained what the basic techniques of Digital Marketing is to attract traffic to the website of a tour company.

The other speakers of the day have been Javier Velilla, Who explained the Web 2.0 and its applications and tools, and angel Diaz, Which has very diligently, the audience raised interesting issues and has initiated a debate about the use of internet by tourism enterprises Maresme.

Practical Workshop Web 2.0 for tourism in Girona

Presentation of my libro "Electronic Marketing for Cultural Tourism"

This next Friday the November 5th Girona presented in my book "Marketing Electrònic per a Turisme Cultural". This book is part of the collection dedicated to cultural tourism published by the editorial Vitelli.Marketing Digital per a Turisme Cultural - Montserrat Peñarroya

No hace falta decir que este evento me hace muchísima ilusión y que estoy muy contenta de que finalmente se haya convertido en realidad (es muy complicado trabajar, dar clases y a la vez escribir un libro). Sólo espero que la gente lo encuentre realmente útil. En el libro se explican las técnicas básicas para atraer tráfico a un sitio web especializado en servicios o en productos de Turismo Cultural, se explican también las técnicas para convertir visitas en clientes y las técnicas para fidelizarlos. También se explica cómo hacer un benchmark y cómo segmentar, desde el punto de vista del Márketing, los clientes actuales. En general, se trata del contenido que correspondería a una clase de Marketing Digital Turístico de unas 15 horas (se lee en menos… o eso espero) y sirve de guía para poder empezar el Plan de Acción de una empresa turística.

The presentation was very good. I had never been to La Fontana d'Or and the truth is that it is the perfect setting for the presentation of a book. Slides "How to convert visitors into buyers" of Tourism Days 2.0

Following the previous post (What it is web 2.0 [Tourism 2.0]) in this new post I include it was my second paper in the conference organized by the Patronato de Turismo de la Costa Brava - Girona Pyrenees: Tourism 2.0 which they were held yesterday in Girona.

In this paper I explained the main techniques that can help maximize the conversion of a website (meaning conversion: the number of customers or business contacts obtained through our website, divided by the number of visits it receives).

Slides "What is Web 2.0" of 2.0 days Tourism

Yesterday was a full day: 2 lectures given, 3 heard, a breakfast and networking lunch and an incredible lot of talks and consultations with tourism professionals ... of course, I am referring to the conference organized by the Patronato de Turismo de la Costa Brava - Girona Pyrenees: Tourism 2.0 which it was held yesterday in Girona.

The day was rounded: well organized, following the scheduled times, with breaks when needed and interesting speakers (I mean the other speakers :-). All high-level and explaining very different themes, but related to Web 2.0: Juan Luis Polo (Creative territory) Explained their experiences in managing large customer communities marks (I have to ask some of your slides for my classes, I liked how focused the work of a Comunity Manager). Also the presentation. Victor Puig explained some of the strategies that apply 2.0 Overalia Y Lasse Rouhiainen (Super video marketing PROFESSIONALS) explained to us what this technique and how to start apply a interesting talk too.

There were more speakers, but unfortunately I could not stay the whole day. I would have loved to hear the table moderated Xevi Rendoda Montoya (PlayBrand) And they attended by Pedro Jareño (Minube), Jordi Ramot (Wikiloc) And Francesc Grau (Conzentra). Unfortunately duty called me and I had to leave mid-afternoon.

As I said, my participation was twice, first thing in the morning a theoretical paper on what is Web 2.0 and what it does, and late in the morning, a presentation on how to convert visits to a website commercial customers or contacts.

Rural Tourism Slides 3.0

I had the pleasure of participating in the seminar this morning Rural Tourism - Outlook 2020, Organized by the foundation Olot FES (Higher Education Foundation of Olot).

In these days is analyzed from various points of view, expectations of rural tourism with a view to 2020. In my case, exploring the rural tourism of the future, from the point of view of technology. A job easy.

For this, I have discussed briefly how you think it will be the tourism market in 2020. How will individuals be part of this market (who are now 20 years) and how will it adapt tourism products to the characteristics of this market .

In the last part of the paper, I have also tried to how Web 3.0 (on which now is working at the level of developer, but not yet at the level of end user [or at least not a general level of end user] ) we will offer new opportunities to promote the services of rural tourism and rural destinations.

Days in Girona - Internet Business 2.0 and the Tourist

Next October 28 in Girona start the conference with the title: Internet 2.0 - Social networks and tourism business Keys. Tengo el placer de participar en dos de sus ponencias y en un taller práctico.

El objetivo de las jornadas es conseguir que las empresas turísticas de Girona obtengan un mayor rendimiento a sus páginas web gracias al uso de las herramientas 2.0. En general, las ponencias tratarán temas como: qué es exactamente la Web 2.0 y cómo podemos aplicarla a un sitio web turístico (esta es una de las que yo imparto), cómo aprovechar a fondo el Social Media Marketing y cómo gestionar nuestra presencia en las redes sociales, cómo convertir las visitas de una página web en clientes (esta la imparto yo también), cómo generar contenido atractivo para el público de un sitio web, etc.

This first day is complemented by a series of workshops to be held on other days. Tourist Digital Marketing Course Sant Joan de les Abadesses

On 23 and 30 September I have the pleasure to participate in training sessions organized by the Ripollès Development Consortium under the Plan Dinamizació Tourist Land of Counts and Abbots (Most beautiful name!).

The conference is divided into 2 sessions of 4 hours cover the following topics:Sant Joan de les Abadesses

1st Session - September 23: The 9 techniques to attract traffic to a website.

This session will address the techniques used to attract visitors to the website of a tour company. The principal of these techniques is the SEO, but so are the SEM, the presence in social networks and presence in brokerage portals, among others.

2nd Session - September 30: How to convert visitors into customers.

This session will focus on techniques that will help us make the visits of a tourist site, customers. Some of the techniques covered are usability, persuasive communication, transmission of trust and Web analytics, among others.

2.0 slideshow Turismo Rural - La Seu d'Urgell

Yesterday was held in La Seu d'Urgell the second of days devoted to Rural Tourism and Web 2.0.

As in the previous day, the first presentation was given by José Antonio Donaire who introduced us to Tourism 2.0Followed by a case study, this time was in charge of Tourism of the Seu who explained the operation of its online booking form. Following this presentation, Joan Giró, counselor explained the PIMESTIC Plan PIMESTIC.

Early afternoon began my presentation, which introduced the Web 2.0 tools that can be applied to promoting Rural tourismAs well as key success factors of a communication strategy 2.0.

Once I finished my talk, Joan Lopez, Creative studio Frame Works, Showed us how to move from 0.0, to 1.0, 1.5 and then to 2.0 (explained by voice is far less complicated).

As in the case of Tortosa I think they have been good days and attendees feel that they have made good use of the day. If only we repeat in more destinations Rural tourism.

Slide "9 Techniques for Digital Marketing for tourism businesses"

Yesterday I had the pleasure of participating in the General Assembly of the Product Clubs Catalan Tourism, Giving a presentation on Digital Marketing and basic techniques to attract visitors to the websites of tourism enterprises.

Product Clubs are few programs of the Catalan Tourism Agency which aim to advise and assist in marketing the tourism industry in Catalonia. There are specialized clubs in Cultural Tourism, Active Tourism / Nature, Golf Tourism Gastronomic Tourism and Tourism Health and Welfare.

After the assembly, the day continued with three presentations on various topics. The first one was given by Dean Gregory Expedia, Who explained the hotel services connectivity interfaces and Expedia. This paper was especially interesting as the representative Expedia shared with attendees all kinds of data related to online procurement and on the tourism market in general. The next presentation was on the new school calendar and how positively affect the tourism industry. The last presentation was mine.
