Music Slides 2.0 – Music promotion through 2.0 tools

Contents of this article

Yesterday I had the pleasure of giving the session dedicated to digital marketing within the conference Diversons 2013, organized by the Obra Social de La Caixa.

The project Diverse Its objective is to provide participating groups with tools to take a step forward in their professionalization and, at the same time, to promote the integration and knowledge of different cultures through the universal language of music.

For this purpose Diverse provides the groups that form part of the project with paid concerts throughout Spain, as well as training in production, technical advice for their concerts and training in marketing and dissemination of their music. It is within this last section that my presentation was framed.

The slides I used are as follows.

As you can see this time it is not a Power Point, it is a Prezi. Lately I have been using this tool for my conferences. For classes I still use Power Point because they are very long and the truth is that I need some time to change them. For now I am happy with keeping them up to date and expanding them as the Internet evolves. But I am preparing the short conferences with Prezi.

In this case, I have used a photograph of Helena Casas taken at the TCBand concert (Elvis' band from the 70s) that performed in Barcelona last September, and on this image I have distributed the slides with which I illustrated the conference.

The Prezi can be downloaded or viewed through the Prezi website. It can also be embedded in any document, as I am doing on this page.

I hope everything is useful to you.
