Yesterday I had the pleasure of participating in the conferences Tourism Industry: Economic Engine of Andalusia organised by the San Telmo Institute together with the Tourism Department of the Andalusian Government.
The aim of the conference was to help boost Andalusian tourism through technological innovation. To this end, the San Telmo Institute organised these conferences and invited various speakers specialising in topics such as product resource management, people management and the marketing of tourism products.
My participation was in the framework of the round table entitled: Tourism Marketing: New channels and how to reach more customers, and I was in charge of explaining direct marketing through the Internet.
The following also participated in this round table:
- Prof. Rafael Ollero Calatayud, Business Management, IIST (moderator)
- Francisco J. Castillo. Managing Director of Advanced Leisure Services, who explained to us the changes that are being caused by the evolution of tourism and its form of marketing (you can see the slides in their blog).
- Juan Dominguez, former CEO of travel.com and current CEO of Santa Monica Club, who explained to us about marketing through tourist intermediaries.
The slides I used to illustrate my intervention are the following.
I hope they are useful to you.
A hug.
