Contents of this article

The 4th edition of Manageware took place in Reus on Wednesday 18th March.

Manageware is a business conference organized by the Business & Humanities Association, together with the Reus Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of Senior Management, a Tarragona-based educational institution with great prestige in management training.

In general, the conferences are aimed at introducing ICT to senior managers of companies in the Tarragona area, and have been held for 4 years. Personally, I have the honour of participating in them as a speaker since the first year, so I am very excited when this time of year approaches and I prepare new presentations that may interest the Manageware audience.

This year the title of my presentation was: Marketing in Times of Crisis – The 5 Digital Marketing Techniques with the Highest ROISo while preparing the slides I analyzed all the techniques to drive traffic to a website and selected the ones with the highest ROI.

These are the techniques I presented at Manageware:

  1. Presence in Search Engines: Natural Positioning (SEO). In this section I explained how a search engine works and how you can appear in the top positions for certain searches.
  2. Presence in Search Engines: Appearance on Google Maps (Local Business Center)In this section I explained the importance of appearing in the Google Maps section of the results page. Especially for businesses where their location is important. In addition, the cost of appearing on Google Maps is zero, hence the ROI of this action is one of the highest.
  3. Presence in Search Engines: Keyword Buying Campaigns (SEM)Here I explained how the AdWords ad ranking algorithm works and therefore, how we can improve the position of our ad until it appears at the top of the Google results page.
  4. Online Public Relations: presence in blogs and online press. In this chapter I explained how we can manage our presence in blogs and online press, and how we can contract it through online blogger markets.
  5. Email Marketing: How to run a campaign to an external database and how to run it to an internal database. Here I explained everything from where to buy data to run an email campaign, to how to run it. Also, how to ensure that our communications are not considered spam.
