Slides for Creating a Tourism Website with WordPress

Contents of this article

Today I had the pleasure of teaching the first of the classes of WordPress, organized by the Costa Brava Tourism Board.

In class we saw how to install WordPress on a company domain or a new domain and then we saw how to customize it using free templates or paid templates. We also saw how plugins work and how to convert a single-language website into one in as many languages as we want.

The slides I had prepared for class are the following (although I have hardly used them… since I have been explaining about the website we created during class).

During the class I have been referring to the WordPress manual that Alfonso González wrote to make the work of the attendees easier and also to help them install WordPress without needing someone to guide them in person.
The manual can be read and downloaded here: WordPress Manual.

Although I already indicated it in the power point, if you want to see some templates for hotels, look at these links:

If you want to see a hotel website made with WordPress, check this one out: SixtyTwo Hotel Barcelona

You will find many more on the internet (I will look at the ones I have time for and I will publish them here. If you have attended the course and create your page, you can publish it in the comments and I will take a look at it… also the rest of the readers, I hope they will comment on it.

We talk to each other.

A hug.

  1. Thank you Montserrat.

I will follow you from Vitoria, I am also setting up a blog with WordPress, for a small, different tourism company, called Responsible, and what a certain travel ETHIC entails.

I reiterate my gratitude and encourage you to follow these posts.

  2. Thank you Montse for sharing your insights on this very important topic today. The class of the Pimec course to Girona is going to be spectacular. Records!
