[style_image width=»» height=»» image=»https://www.montsepenarroya.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/version_mobile.jpg» align=»alignright» alt=»Mobile version of the Montserrat Peñarroya website» url=»» border=»yes» lightbox=»yes» fade=»yes»]In the fight to dominate the information accessed through mobile phones (Google through the web and Apple through applications), Google is closing agreements with many companies that make it easier for websites to be viewed well through mobile devices. This initiative is called “Go Mobile”, and it is within this framework that Google closed an agreement with Duda Mobile last week, which I think can be useful for many companies.
If we enter the link that I show below, Google Build Your Site We will enter the Duda Mobile website where we can access its services, free of charge and without including advertising on the mobile web (before the agreement with Google, this company already offered the service, but in exchange for offering it for free it included advertising).
Once inside DudaM, it asks us if we want a blog template or a corporate website. Once we have decided this, we can customize the entire template (colors, background, fonts, icons, and functionalities). When we have finished customizing our template, it tells us the URL of our new mobile website (which of course, is on their server).
Once we have the code, we just need to create the redirection that will take users to this page. To do this, we are provided with the code. All we have to do is click on “follow” to obtain the complete code that we must include in the header (header.php) of our website. In this way, when someone enters our website, the website checks whether the user is browsing from a mobile or desktop device. If they are on a mobile device, it automatically redirects them to our new mobile website.
To see an example working with this technology, you can browse this same website (www.montsepenarroya.com) from your mobile phone, you will see the version created with Duda Mobile.
The service is free for a whole year. After that we'll have to upgrade to the premium version, which costs $108... I'm not worried about that right now. Everything changes so fast that you never know how many services of this type we'll have in a year. We'll see. To get the free site you don't have to register or give any information, so it's worth a try.
I hope this article is useful to you.
PS: Tomorrow, Thursday, I will be giving a Mobile Marketing session organized by SDE – ICEC to help cultural companies carry out marketing communications via mobile phones. See you there.
A hug.

Just one more thing. We have just launched the first mobile website and booking engine for a hotel in Benidorm (or so we think). Check out m.hotelpalmeral.com to see what you think and give us feedback to improve.
Thank you
It looks pretty good, I'll put it into practice in a few days.
Thank you.
