7 Spanish universities are working together to develop a very interesting compendium of good practices in the promotion of tourism destinations. The project is called “New advertising and promotion strategies for Spanish tourism brands on the web”.
This research analyses the quality and suitability of Spanish tourism brand portals to their target audience, as well as their content, portal usability, user interactivity, brand image transmission, marketing, etc.
The aim of the project is to provide destinations with a set of best practices that will help them to further enhance their brands and connect with potential customers.
The project has been running since January 2009 and will continue until the end of 2011, so it is not finished and the research is still ongoing. Fortunately, on the website created especially to share this information you can already see some of the good practices: good practices in SEO for destinations, in brand treatment, in accessibility, etc.
If you want to see some of these good practices, you can do so by clicking here: good practices in promoting tourism destinations
If you want to see when presentations about the research and its results will be made, you can see it by clicking here: Presentation of results
Even if you are not a destination, I think this information can be useful to you, so don't miss it!
A hug.
