Surprise this weekend: we went to Youtube and noticed a new feature, Youtube MoviesThe movie rental service that had been operating in the US for a year, but had not opened here.

Without having to pirate anything and at a reasonable cost.
The rental price of films depends on their age and whether or not they are in high definition. Films that are in cinema release cost 3.99 euros in standard definition and 4.99 euros in high definition. The rest of the films cost 1.99 euros in normal definition and 2.99 euros in high definition.
The service works very similarly to Filmin (which is the one I used until now): when you pay for the movie, you have 30 days to watch it if you haven't started it yet, and once you start it, you have 48 hours to watch it (you can watch it as many times as you want during these 48 hours [this is practical when there are people at home who are in front of the TV at different times]).
It seems to me that it can only be paid through Google Wallet (the Google service that competes with Pay Pal), the truth is that I have not completed the test transaction (I don't have time to watch a movie today) but it only offered me the option to pay through its own tool (I hope this is not final since I usually use Pay Pal for all my payments).
We'll have to see how this service works. I'll see if I have time next weekend to try it out.
We talk to each other.

Can we try it right now? And if the TV has an internet connection and is a smart TV, do I also need a connected PC?
Thank you

Francisco, if your TV is connected to the Internet in some way and you can access YouTube, you don't need anything else.
May everything go well.
A big hug.
