How to Automate Revenue with Artificial Intelligence: Ideas for Concerned Managers

Introduction

Although my day-to-day life is spent managing companies, I've never neglected my entrepreneurial side. Sometimes, even as a general manager, I like to challenge myself: Would I be able to build a new source of income with little time available? Could I automate it until it almost runs on its own?

This interest has not only accompanied me in my personal career but has also been part of my academic life: for four years I directed the Digital Entrepreneurship Degree at La Salle, where each year 25 students not only graduated but also left with a startup company. And I still teach 10 hours of classes on digital business models in numerous entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Today I want to share with you three ChatGPT prompts that might inspire you to think about automated revenue. These are useful tools whether you're a director, founder, co-founder, or teacher, like most of this blog's readers.

How to use a free hour to create a low-investment business

Prompt:

"With everything you know about me, imagine I have one free hour each day and propose 10 activities or business ideas that require minimal initial investment and can be managed with little time each day."

Reflection:

When you're working at a high level, finding large blocks of time is difficult. But an hour a day, well invested, can be enough to create systems that will work for you in the future. This prompt combines the need for efficiency and low investment, and is ideal for those who don't want to compromise their current position but want to explore new avenues of income.

With 10 ideas, some won't be feasible, but you might find one inspiring. Select the one you resonate with most and move on to the next prompt.

Monetize one of the selected ideas by leveraging your skills

Prompt:

"Of the ideas selected above, I particularly like [insert the number of your favorite here]. Help me develop it to fit my skills and experience. If necessary, ask me questions to better understand my competencies and available resources, and then suggest a simple action plan to implement it with minimal daily effort."

Reflection:

It's important not to limit yourself to just an idea: grounding it by adapting it to your strengths makes all the difference. This prompt helps you move from inspiration to action, building a project aligned with you that can grow sustainably and automatically.

Follow the conversation ChatGPT suggests. Once you're clear on what you want to create, move on to the next prompt.

Automate processes so your business works for you

Prompt:

"Act as a business automation expert. Propose tools and processes that allow me to fully automate the project we're working on."

Reflection:

Automation is no longer optional: it's essential. From automated sales systems to on-demand training, subscriptions, and digital marketplaces. Automation means multiplying your impact without multiplying your workload.

In summary

Exploring automated revenue streams isn't a matter of greed or job dissatisfaction. It's a way of thinking outside the box, of testing our ability to build, scale, and delegate to systems.

If, like many of this blog's readers, you're in a management role, you know that thinking about scalability is part of your professional DNA. Applying it to your own personal projects can be as challenging as it is rewarding.

I encourage you to try these prompts. You may discover, as I have on several occasions, that the best way to learn and grow is to continue to do more, even on a small scale.

Here I leave you the link to the Digital Business Degree from La Salle.

I also leave you a link to an article in which I explain the difference between a strategy and a business model (it's not that obvious).

And finally, I leave you an article in which I explain 4 types of digital business models.

I hope this helps. We'll talk later.

Kisses.
