At the end of May, Facebook introduced a new feature to the timeline that I see goes unnoticed by many people. So here is this post, in case it can be of help.
Schedule a Facebook post
Until May, if we wanted to schedule an entry, we had to use specific software for this: Hootsuite either TweetDeck, for example. With this new feature, we can do it directly from the form in which you enter the messages you want to publish on Facebook, in the tool itself.
Entries can be scheduled in the future, or they can be published in the past (very useful for new pages where we want to enter old content).
How to schedule an entry
Step 1: go to Facebook and enter your page. (Note, this does not work on profiles, at the moment it is only possible to schedule posts on pages)
Step 2: Pretend you are going to write a post. Notice that a clock icon appears at the bottom left of the box.
Step 3: Click the clock and enter the date you want that entry to be published.

It may ask you when you created the page first (it will ask you if FB doesn't have this information). Put in any date you want, but make sure it's older if you want to post in the past tense and not the future.
That's it. It's that easy.
What is the purpose of scheduling an entry?
- Well, for many things:
- You can create an online course and post a tip every day.
- You can post the joke of the day (and enter all the jokes on the same day).
- You can organize a promotional messaging campaign by running a sale every Friday, for example.
In short, you can program whatever you want, investing time only once. Although you should not forget that This is a perversion of communication 2.0 where by definition, you seek to establish a dialogue with the user. So don't overdo it. Don't program everything!
May everything go well.
A hug.

When you don't have much time and you already have your posts planned, it's fantastic. I also think it's great if you know that a certain time is going to have more views and, for whatever reason, you can't be posting right at that time.
It sounds silly, but I didn't know it could be done until recently. It really is a great help.
It's great to be able to schedule on Facebook. But I still think that if you have multiple social networks or accounts, Hootsuite is much better.
There is now the possibility of scheduling the publication button. This has many advantages for companies to be able to schedule everything they want without having to log in.
Good morning Montse,
Just ask yourself a question: Hootsuite or Twitter?
Oh, it's complicated 🙂
You can use Hootsuite, but not always because it is only useful if you manage a lot of tasks. The difference between one and the other would say that it is not in functionalities but rather in the system. Hootsuite works through the web and cannot be installed on your computer, but instead Twitdeck works with a scripting program. When I have to make the decision of who to use, the issue of not having to install res is going to be decisive for me... I always make sure that my computer does the minimum essential and I avoid any type of program from these. that is connected to engegar-lo or that els tens oberts sense ser-ne consicient. Ara, yes, I said… at the functional level, I would say that they are the same.
Hello Montse,
Many thanks for the explanation. You know, you can schedule blog posts, why are they automatically published to Facebook? Abans es podia fer i ho van treure… and the truth is that it va molt bé quan these uns dies fora per feina and no tens massa temps…. Many thanks, your blog is super useful!
Hello Jana, escort, I don't connect to blogspot phones (I use WordPress), but in the entries there is some calendar... some word that says "publish immediately" or something like that. There you have to know how to schedule the publication. WordPress is great… I guess Blogger is too. With a program, you just have to make sure that the blog is connected to Facebook. Això is easily available with the “networked blogs” application that you can access on Facebook. There are also three applications that fan the mateix… look on Google. All fans serve the RSS of your blog to feed Facebook. It's easy, don't panic.
If you don't have supplies, let me know that I'll look into entering a Blogspot version to see if I see it. anims. A strong hug.
Montse.
Albert, at the end of the day there was a button at the cost of "publishing" that said "public" and that allowed (on a page) to segment by language and by locality. But the interface changes!!! Now they have put the "promotion" button in the "public" button and you know you can't write posts segmented by language. There are 2 possibilities: 1) they have not done so because they want to contract more advertising (which is possible to segment) or 2) momentarily this has not worked.
Brilliant!
This is what I needed, I had it right before the nose and I hadn't seen it.
To me it's very important for another topic...
The new company page has more than 6,000 friends, most of them connect after a while.
If my continguts enter my working hours, they cause a lot of damage to the home page, and I lose views, so I needed to post the posts from home at 9:00 p.m., 10:00 p.m., 11:00 p.m. when I could, a lot of stress because there was pel mig family In this way, I prepare the post and the program at 9 p.m. I haven't scheduled a test, let's see how it goes!
It's useful to ask about another application that is also very interesting because I don't know if it exists.
My friends are currently from Spanish territory, and for reasons of harmony it would be more pleasant to have entries in Catalan and Spanish, in such a way that only the Catalans see them in Catalan and the Spanish in Spanish. Això existenceix or is it demanar massa?
It's just that I notice that the Catalan participation is lower than what it could be, I think they don't tune in to the continguts in Spanish, and yes, the community manager himself is Catalan but he has to ignore the continguts in Catalonia, where it's a shame . M'entens?
Thanks for the info, I followed your pad and from time to time three things were very interesting.
Thank you Montse! I had just tried it in my profile and decided to schedule it until the current day, so I was going to give up. Ja ho farem serve the page!
