On February 23rd, the Costa del Maresme Tourist Promotion Consortium organizes the day “The impact of digital technology on the tourism sector"in which I have the pleasure of participating.
This event is especially designed for entrepreneurs in the tourist accommodation sector.
The objective is that, based on the presentations of various specialists in Tourism Marketing (among which I have the honour of being included) to analyse the impact of the adoption of new technologies by this business sector, and how to convert these changes into a competitive tool and a generator of higher margins for the entrepreneur.
I will focus on how the Internet affects the relationship between hoteliers and customers and between hoteliers and tourism intermediaries, and how this relationship will evolve in the coming years. I will also talk about how to attract traffic to a hotel's website and how to convert it into customers.
The program is as follows:
